The TOEFL test (Test of English as a Foreign Language) is a test that measures the ability of non-native English speakers to use and understand the English language as it's read, written, heard and spoken in the university classroom. TOEFL test the English language skills an international student would need for being successful in a US college or university. Ability to listen and respond to lectures, read textbooks, write papers and communicate with professors and other students are the main skills tested in that exam. More than 6,000 institutions in the US and 109 other countries accept TOEFL scores. TOEFL can be taken at more than 4,000 test centers in 180 countries.
